How does Track IT™ work?

Track IT™ utilizes multiple technologies such as GPS and cell phone triangulation to track hardware devices that are ON, connected to the network and running the licensed application.

What is a Beacon?

A "Beacon" is a signal that the application sends out from your phone/device to establish it's location.

How do I get the application and how expensive is Track IT™?

The application is purchased and downloaded from Google’s App Store to a device for literally pennies a day.

Is the application difficult to configure or administer?

Not at all. The product was intentionally designed for ease of use. It is very intuitive and allows for simple operation and management.

What types of devices can Track IT™ locate?

The application is capable of locating electronic devices such as computers, laptops, SmartPhones, USB’s, etc.

Can the Track IT™ application locate an actual person?

The application can only locate the device belonging to the person. If the individual has the device on their immediate person, then the location of the device will correspond to the person’s location—provided that the licensed application is running on the device that is powered ON and connected to the network.

Can I track more than one cell phone, laptop, or USB device at a time?

Yes. You may track however many devices you have a licensed application for. They will all show up on the application’s display and you may track whichever device(s) you wish at will.

What is the difference between Where’s My Kid™ and Track IT™?

Track IT™ is a product line for the tracking application offered by the Nanex ™ platform. Where’s My Kid™ is a marketing campaign for Track IT™ geared towards locating childrens’ devices such as SmartPhones.

What if my child turns off the application on their phone?

On the Tracking Monitor page - Click the "Start Device Button" - This will restart the application on your childs phone.

There are other GPS programs on the market, what makes Track IT™ different?

The Nanex™ platform utilizes multiple technologies for locating devices so that in the event that one technology is unable to track the device, another technology can be utilized to perform the task. This is all handled through the software and occurs automatically and transparently to the user.

Do I have to have a SmartPhone to use Track IT™ for cell phone locating?

Currently we work on the Android platform but are in development to support and operate on other platforms such as Blackberry and iPhone.

How many devices can be installed at a time?

Licensed devices are added to the tracking platform one device at a time. There is no limit to the number of licensed devices you may add to the platform.

How do I add additional phones/devices to my account?

In order to track and add muliple devices to your account- All devices must be registered under the "Primary Account Holders Email Address"

Can I track my cell phone from my computer?

Yes.

Can I track my computer from my cell phone?

Yes. One can configure the application to alert via email or text to either a phone or a computer when a device leaves a pre-set area.

Can I use this application to track a person?

Track IT™ is capable of providing the ability to track and monitor someone’s whereabouts through their cell phone or computer only while the unit is powered on and connected to the network while within their possession.

Can Track IT locate a device that has already been lost or stolen?

No, Track IT can only track devices that the application has been installed.
